One Easy Step To Improve Any Ad For Your Business
Attention is currency isn’t saying that just applies to social media influencers anymore.
As a business owner you need to be able to command attention to get people to even look at your stuff.
Very few people have a good idea of how to grab attention for their ads.
Not knowing how to get people to read on, could be why your ads are underperforming, social media pages aren’t growing or your website isn’t being engaged with.
To fix this, it can be as easy as changing one sentence.
Check …….. THE HEADLINE.
The headline is what turns heads and makes people begin to read on. It’s what grabs the attention.
Many headlines you come across are very low effort and have little thought put in to them.
It’s usually what people think looks cool, is trendy or what makes them sounds clever.
The truth is, it just gets you ignored.
What makes a good headline?
If you were to just advertise your headline with a phone number underneath, would people call? Would they know what you do? Would they understand how you could help them?
If the answer is no then you need to go back to the drawing board.
You need to think from your prospects point of view. Consider the following:
1. What the prospect wants to see
2. Why it would make them pay attention
3. What would filter out a good prospect
Once you have a headline that does all this, simply write that! Don’t over complicate it.
N.B. Don’t be afraid to test different headlines to see which works best. If you have multiple that pass this test, then test them!
Here is a great example: Ad for a chiropractor – Does your back hurt?
Does it pass the litmus test? Yes – if you had back problems you’d likely pick up the phone and call.
1. What the prospect wants to see – Someone with back pain would love to see that someone can help to solve it.
2. Why it would make them pay attention – It speaks directly to people with back pain
3. What would filter out a good prospect – People with no back pain wouldn’t call. Simple.
Start with simple, clear messages that address your audience’s needs, you will see immediate results!
